You choose to be a Chef, Alchemist, Artisan or Blacksmith. Each job specializes in crafting a specific type of items which will be beneficial to the players themselves or to trade with other players. To increase your level in a specific job , you would need to gain Job Experience. In order to gain JE , one would need to constantly craft based on recipes of that job or mine/gather materials. To get the recipes you would need to talk to the respective Job NPC located in Prontera.

Job System Basics
Gathering materials
In order to increase your Job Level, you would need to craft and gather materials.
Raw materials needed to craft can be found by gathering them or gaining them from defeated monsters. One way of gathering the materials is by harvesting them . Any items that can be collected will be shown to have sparkling effect and once you hover your mouse over the target that can be harvested, the mouse icon will change.
Any items that have a sparkling effect can be harvested for raw materials!
When you move your mouse over the target , the mouse icons will change to the following
Once you have collected all needed items to craft the items you can approach the expert to get the recipe to craft it. Each recipe will be dependent on your job level.
Leveling up your job level is therefore essential. The higher your job level is, you would be able to gain recipes to craft more valuable items.

create special potions which boost vitality.

armor using leather and cloth.Tan skins from creatures can be gathered
or textile materials can be obtained, to be tailored into wearable
clothing.

The Blacksmith crafts various weapons and armor, and
possess skills to smelt mineral ore found in mines.Blacksmiths can also
craft ‘Rune Hole Punch’, which pierces holes in existing weapons and
armor; allowing them to hold ‘Runes’.

Chefs create delicious dishes which cause beneficial
effects, such as health recovery or boosted abilities.Aside from
cooking, a Chef also gathers ingredients and processes them for cooking.
